MEET THE TRAINER AND TEAM

Tristan Gibson

My name is Tristan Gibson, At the age of 19, I became an EMT. I was an EMT for 5 years before I decided to enlist in the Marines. Unfortunately, my career as a Marine was cut short due to an injury in training. From there I worked odd and end jobs until I returned to being an EMT. I worked as an EMT for 5 more years and started Paramedic school. This is where I thought I was meant to be until I met Arlo.

Arlo was rescued from a local shelter. He came to me with confidence problems, reactivity towards people,(stems from fear), and reactivity towards dogs, (stems from excitement; he loves to play). After putting myself through school, I knew it would not be feasible to put him through training. I started looking into different ways I could help him. After Arlo and I got most of his tension turned it into trust, I kept researching to find out how else I could help him. I started looking into positive and negative reinforcement. Arlo reacted very well to this,it was then that I decided to leave my career, and school to pursue the dream of helping so many other families achieve these same goals.

Arlo Gibson

Hi, Iz is Arlo. I’m a good boy who has a exceptional hoodad that teaches me lots of things. I lovez to explore the great ourdoorz and tree squirrels since that is in my blood. I know sit, stay, down, shake, guard, back (similar to guard just backwards), moving sit, down, and stays with both. Dad can walk a football field and recall me and I come! I’m a little iffy with strangers as most BMCs are and get excited with new dogs but I’ve come a long way with reigning in the excitement.

PRINCESS RUBY GIBSON

Princess Ruby joined the Gibson Palace a buck wild girl with little to no discipline. According to outside sources she in fact pulled the butler down the driveway her first night in the palace. She has taken over the palace as her own and has claimed the couch as her royal thrown. Rumor has it that Ruby was not born a princess, but since joining the Gibson Palace in September, she has claimed that title with grace and dignity. This Great Dane Mastiff mix is known to be sweet but timid, sassy, and bossy. Although, Princess Ruby is all of those things and more she took to training like a “hot knife with butter.” She does best with positive reinforcement and loves to strut her stuff and shine when she plays with her rope toy. Since joining the Gibson Palace she fits in perfect with her brother Arlo and they play very well together. Sources say she is the perfect fit.
